Instrument cluster removed to change a bulb on 1995 mercedes c250d now the srs light stays on for two minuets before going out
It worked before the cluster was taken out

The SRS light should stay on for a while before going out but 2 minutes for the control unit to turn it off is too long.
There is a possibility some wires are loose, due to connectors not plugged in securely or there is a fault somewhere.
Get a scan done to check for trouble codes to see if anything shows up.
