Is it the tranny
MY CAR WILL NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR. DOES NOT EVEN ENGAGE.

Make sure the linkage is working properly. Make sure the trans fluid is full and clean. If the check engine light has come on, scan the computer to see if there is a transmission trouble code stored in it. If this happened all at once, chances are it is a sensor or control module issue.
