My car refused to turn over so i went and put in a brand new battery but it still refuses to start. Any ideas on where i should be looking for the problem please?

you need spark, compression and fuel. one of them is missing and you need to find out which one.

Is it cranking over and will not start or just won't crank at all/nothing when you turn the key to cranking position?
