1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Repair Question

The sound on my radio may work for 5 seconds to 5 minutes. If I turn it off for a few minutes and turn back, it may work again for a short period.
It is Infinity Gold AM/FM/CD receiver. Model 5269434. All other functions of the radio work; lights, time, scan, seek, etc. A CD will go in and out, but the same condition with the sound.

Sounds like an issue with the amplifier. It's located under the left rear seat.

I have already bypass the amplifier by unplugging and connecting the speaker wires. Or is the amplifier required?

Depends on the output of the deck and the sensitivity of the speakers. If the deck output level is sufficient and the speaker sensitivity is sufficient, your deck needs to be replaced.
