What could be the cause for jerking and loss of power and ocassional stalling while decelerating

95 jeep grand cherokee jerks and occasionally stalls during deceleration and after taking turns. acts as if it hesitates and slow to build speeds but then runs fine at high speeds. automatic transmission seems to be shifting fine trough gears. problem started recently after installed new battery and alternator wondering if electrical problem coud cause these symptoms

have you changed the plugs lately??

have the cat converter checked for back pressure

crank sensors are common issues with jeeps. this can be checked with a scan tool from a shop
