Car is a automatic transmission, will shift in drive, reverse but will not move when shifted in gear. Put the car in drive press on the gas, will not move. Put car in reverse press on gas car will not move. Transmission fluids and filter have been change. Could there be another problem causing this like transmission speed senors or transmission control module, or should I start with the transmission first. What happen when a cv joint goes out, will that cause the vehicle not to move when put into gear? This is the second transmission install for this vehicle. Was driving and the vehicle would no longer acclerate when pressing the gas pedal

Seems like the tranmsisison control have failed. It could be a fault with the valve body or solenoids and further testings woud be required.

If CV joints fails, you can see them being detached from position or you would hear grinding noises when gears are engaged.
