Firing order and how 2 set timing on my 1.4l engine

I have just rebuilt the head, I have alianed tdc on number 1 piston, alained both crank pully and head. The rotor is faceing number 1 plug, but my car is not firing.

You sure its on the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke? Remove #1 plug and put a finger on the hole you will feel compression. Also the rotor will actually ne just approaching #1 you may be advanced by a tooth

I don't have access to hold timing, but some 4 cylenders time the head by a notch on the head and not the crank. D o you have a manual?

No dont have manual gregary dont make 1 for 95 model
