I just purchased a 1995 GMC Suburban with a 5.7 engine and today I noticed a loud buzzing sound as I accelerated from a dead stop. The sound goes away after 5-8 seconds. It is coming from under the drivers seat. Is this an issue with the tranny or rear diff? Sorry. There are about 150,000 miles or 236,500 kilometers. Yes, I am in Canada.

I had the same problem. I found that the fuel lines were touching the floor board and you were hearing the fuel pump pulse. Chech the lines that run from the frame to the back of the TBI. Mostly check right at the floor board and tranny hump on driver side. Hope that helps!
