Why would there be gas in the oil

Check the vac line at the fuel pressure regulator, see if any gas in the vacuum line, if so the pressure regulator is faulty, replace it. I wouldn't drive the vehicle till you fix the issue. I'd also drain the oil and replace the oil filter as many times as necessary to get the gas out.

If you have the spider fuel system, the pressure regulator should be under the upper intake manifold.
