I have a 1995 GMC Jimmy that experienced a fire under the hood on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Plug wires were burnt and subsequently replaced. Vehicle starts and runs without missing, but Service engine light flashes and I cannot get it to drop into a gear. What is my next step?

Ok maybe a better question would have been what are some possible causes of this issue?

The CEL/SES is on there's a problem within the engine management system, -jumper A to B and count the flashes to find out what's causing the CEL/SES to come on-you need to do this- to figure out your problem -see below
