When i push the gas the car almost shuts off and shifts to fast, so would it be the transmission?
Well when i push the gas the vehicle almost shuts off but it doesn't, when i push the gas there is a slight pause and the battery meter slightly moves up and down, and it also seems like the transmission want to shift to fast and does not want to shift back down.

Start with a scan as there may be a transmission electrical problem, the flashing light is an indication that there is a problem to investigate here.
