BMW 318i Sensor Problem
What causes trouble code 1226 on a BMW 318i ? What are the possible ways to repair ? Thanx

It appears to be the #2 knock sensor. By purchasing a new one and installing it, assuming the sensor itself is bad should fix the problem. The sensors appear to be located on the front of the engine. Here is a walkthrough on how to take care of the problem.
