Most common bad ecm or dist?
94 camry 4cyl, ck engine lite on, code 12, no rpm signal to ecm, wires from dist to ecm ok, lite comes on approx 2 secs after start, car runs ok, tach works. How do I ck dist output? Does this cause mpg problem?

See if the schematics are of any help. More common cause would be the distributor.
