The car dies out when I put my foot on the brake

The car dies out when I put my foot on the brake. Two mechanics couldn't figure out the problem. I read if I disconnect the wire to the torque converter I would use more gas but it wouldn't stall anymore

Booster pulls vacuum off engine if diaphram is torn then when brake is applied intyake vacuum drops emgine stalls
