My 1994 Pontiac Bonneville wont start new starter battery is good. Alternator good. I turn it over and the starter tries to crank the engine over then it stops. I turn the key back to off position and the car still tries to start. It tries to keep starting but just don't.

Wont start it keeps burning the stater wire?

Check the fuel pressure and ignition output to see why engine wont run, might be a simple fuel pump. So, with the starter wire unhooked does it still burn the wire while trying to start it? Also what color is the wire that is burning?
