1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Turn Key Forward Start Car Wont Make Noise Plus Get

I have a 1994 Cutlass when i turn the key forward to start the car it wont make any noise plus i get no lights on the dash, when i jump the car from another car it starts right up but shut right off ounce i remove the jumper cables..... What can that be?
