I have a '94 Mazda 626 ES 6cyl which has not been driven or cranked in 6 years. Would like to get the engine running again. I've changed the plugs and wires along with the battery but can't get it to crank. With starter fluid, it seems like it will paritially fire.

I added fresh gas to the tank but did not drain the old gas. The fuel gage doesn't work so not sure how much if any old gas is in the tank. Should this be drained out?

After so long in storage, it is best to drain out the old and put in fresh fuel.

Ensure you have fuel pressure as after so long, the fuel pump could be seized and won't work.

Yes, you could have a lot of fuel problems due to varnish deposits all through the fuel system from the fuel being that old. Definitely get that old fuel out and replace the fuel filter first.
