I have a 1994 Honda Civic EX. I recently bought it from someone and it has been leaking oil. Not much but you can see it on the left hand side of the motor. I replaced the solenoid gasket because that is what he told me it was yet im still having to put oil in, I'm a female lol not a mechanic.

If it's leaking on the driver side of the engine and the valve cover gasket appears to be dry (easy check). The only place it could be coming from is from behind the timing cover, (usually the camshaft seal, which is extremely common). You're looking at atleast 3-4 hours for a camshaft seal replacement.
