sticking throttle

I have an 1994 honda accord and when i take my foot off the gas pedal the car does not slow down where can i start to check

The first thing to check is where your throttle cable connects to the throttle body. The throttle body might be gummed up or the cable itself could be corroded inside. Look to make sure that there is nothing obstructing the throttle cable where it connects to the throttle body.
