1994 Gmc Savana Vandura Bogging Down Accelerating Touched Small Box Object On

My vandura was bogging down when accelerating,I touched a small box or object on a wire going to the carb then it started accelerating wide open,turned it off and now you can't hear the gas filter filling up when you turn on the key and it will not start,,,,,,, what could my problem be?
