1994 Dodge Shadow Repair Question

When i cut on my headlights my tail lights go out, but my tail lights work during the day. Is it a sensor problem?
It started once my mom got into an accident someone hit her from behind. I tried changing the lightbulbs to see if that works but I still have the same problem. I cant drive at night

have a pro check for a short back there, auto body shps are famous for cutting wires and leaving them like that andleaving other wires disconnected.
