my 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 will start fine when it is cold. it drives ok but when i let off the gas to break it will die. It has trouble at first to restart but does and then runs but will die again if i let off the gas. But at some random time it will run fine. there is no check engine light either. Any help would be nice. Thank you.

check your battery terminals, that will cause this problem, battery isnt getting proper charge or connection. changing the terminal connections on the cables is very easy. takes a few minutes tops. also may need to take it to get it looked at if this doesnt help, may be the alternator.

I don't care about the lite, I check codes anyway, too easy to do, not to do it. How long since a tune-up? Clean throttle-body and check iac/idle air control. You need to test when problem is ongoing.
