Today I was driving to work and everything was fine. Had headlights, heater and radio on. I came to a stop at an intersection to make a left turn and put on turn signal. Once traffic cleared I went to turn and the car wouldn't move. The "check gauges" and "battery symbol" lights were lit up on the dash. I put the car in park, turned it off, turned it back on and it ran fine. I parked the car. Went back to the car to run an errand and the same thing happened at a stop sign. Car was pretty low on fuel, I fueled up. Have not driven again since so do not know if problem will repeat. Any idea?

The check engine light was never on. It was the check gauges light and the battery light only. After I got gas I parked the car. I didn't drive it again until about an hour ago and the lights did not come back on

If I had to guess, I would say there is a ground issue of everything is working properly now. Make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight, the ground to the engine block is clean and tight.

It could be an alternator going bad. What you may want to do is take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them check both the battery and the alternator. Most do it for free. My only other thought is the fuseable link to the alt may be going bad.

Have that checked and let me know what you find.
