You should buy a manual. The process is too involved to describe here easily.

They're about $12 for a single car. Or you can go to a parts store (Pep Boys, Autozone, etc) or Walmart and buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual for about $20 that you can keep forever.

Are you sure it's the head gasket leaking? I would start out by buying a leak detector dye kit and verifying the source of the leak.

You sure its coming from the head not the valve cover

Maybe it's both. I recommended the leak detector dye in the other thread.
