1993 Toyota Camry Le 4 Cylinder Apply Brakes R Light On Instument Cluster

I have a 1993 camry LE 4 cylinder. when i apply the brakes, the "r" light on the instument cluster illuminates as if i put it in reverse. this happens even when the car is in drive.also important to mention is I can hear a clicking noise sometimes behind the instrument cluster sometime not all the time and also the amber warning light for the lighting system is constantly illuminated on the lower left of the instrument cluster. also when the shifter is placed into reverse, the reverse lights don't come on until the shifter is pushed a little towards neutral, but the main completly wrong problem is when the brake pedal is pushed the R light on the cluster illuminates
