I have a 6 cylinder car. But only 3 cylinder is working. Do you know what is wrong with it?

Scan for codes, check fuel pressure, and check for vacuum leaks first.

Auto parts stores can scan it but normally you need a pro to do these things.

White smoke is not a good sign, were the heads o/hauled or checked, or where they just replaced with out any inspection?

After being checked by other mechanic, they found out the problem is with the ecu. So they're checking on it now. And I really hope that is the problem cause it has been having problem for awhile now. Can't even find a good mechanic to check on it =/ anyway thanks for the ideas on what to check.
