My Saturn fails to start after not driving for more than a few hours. It seems to be a battery related issue. Though it isn't the battery itself causing the issue. I can start it if I wait it out and try starting every few minutes. When jumping it it starts instantly. I read somewhere that it was possibly the crank sensor. But have also been told it could be the starter. The alternator has been tested several times and everyone says it is fine. I just cannot figure out what is wrong and don't want to put more money in without knowing the main cause. If you have any suggestions what to check and maybe how to check it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the battery tested good more than once. I even tried a brand new battery and had the same problem.

Your going to have to see what the voltage at the purple wire is at the starter when it won't start?

Also when it won't start see what the battery voltage is at the battery? And see what the battery voltage reads at the battery when trying to start it?Try that before checking the voltage at the starter while trying to start it.
