My car shut off while driving

After sitting for 20min it started back up but shut off again after driving 4mil there is a strong smell of fuel

When it shuts off and wont start you to check and see if you have spark?If there is spark you need to check fuel pressure next when it wont start.Also any codes in the computer?Let me know what you find.
