It stalls when I push in the clutch to slow down.

I have a 1993 Saturn sl standard transmission. When driving ill press in the clutch to start slowing down and the car stalls. I can pop the clutch and it starts back up. What could cause that?

Check for vacuum leaks and check the IAC if there are no leaks.

Just to add to this one does it idle normal otherwise if you in neutral at a stop?If so the clutch isnt fully releasing. Also is it a little bit hard to shift into each gear?Or does it grind when shifting into each gear?Is the clutch pedal hard going all the way to the floor?Or does it drop some down before it gets hard?
