1993 Oldsmobile Achieva Car overheating

I just got new intake manifold gaskets, belt tensioner, timer cast cover and water pump. On my way home from picking up my car it overheated and had to have it towed back to mechanic. He replaced the thermostat and got air out of heater hoses. Drove it home and it's still running hot. What can it be?

Cold be the fan isn't working radiator bad and or head gasket. Check fuses and relay for fan underhood fuse box. Switch relay with a like relay to see if it makes a difference.
