You mean it comes out of gear by itself? Or even if you hold it there?

SOUNDS LIKE THE CLUTCH IN YOUR AUTOMATIC TRANS IS SHOT! IF YOU DONT WANT TO INVEST A REBUILD KINDA PRICEY! Drive it like a 3 speed wont hurt it. Just a few more rpms.

Is it a stick shift manual transmission? That's what STANDARD usually means.
