Mercury Cougar Power steering Problem

I blew up my water pump and got everything taken off but there is the bracket from the power steering pump to the water pump that i cant seem to get off. any ideas

Are you having trouble reaching the bolts?

with the water pump pulley off you can access 1 or 2 bolts. you may have to eventually pull the power steering pump pulley off to get at the other (looks like the crankshaft pulley might be in the way of the bottom one). Let me know if this is what you see as well.
If so there is a special tool used to remove the power steering pulley (you can "borrow" it from Autozone)
