1993 GMC Other transmission

I have a 1993 Gmc Vendura 3500 5.7L auto transmission and I cannot put it in gear from park after I start it I got to shut it off than start it again and keep doing that till I get it in gear what do I do to fix the problem

Sounds like your brake switch. Check to see if your brake lights come on when the truck is on. This could be a couple of things but lets check this first.

Ok the brake lights are not on but there is a light on the dash that says brake when you can't put it in gear but when that light isn't on you can put it in gear

It sounds like your break switch is bad. This would be causing all of these problems. Do you need instructions on how to replace?
