Transmission suddenly would not move car in gear - at times not shifting until gas was pushed hard like something was binding. would only have a stiff pedal from 1st into 2nd gear. after shifting transmission would shift ok for weeks. fluid level ok - doesn't smell burnt. this was my mothers car and would like to keep it if is a broken linkage or something. thanks for any help you can give me.
