TIMING MARKS FOR A 2.3 ENGINE

1993 Ford Ranger • 4 cylinder 2WD Manual • 100 miles

What do the timing marks look like for a 1993 Ford Ranger 2.3 litre engine. The timing belt has been removed and the Crank has been turned slightly so I need to get it back in time. Also not sure if the valves can be damaged if I turn the crank without the timing belt on. Any tips or procedures would help. Thanks.

I answered it myself with a little web browsing. The following picture answered my crank timing issue. Hope it helps someone else.

Im glad you found that, it will help me.I would like to Know more about the aux shaft or oil pump shaft that runs of the timing belt, some they say need to be aligned and some dont.

Here is another picture that may help. There is a second (diamond shaped) mark on the aux pulley that has to be lined up on some models. Maybe this pic will help.
