1993 Ford Probe Repair Question

I have a 1993 ford probe and the cattalittic ? convertor was taken off now i have poor gas mileage, sputtering etc. Im assuming its the oxygen sensor not being hooked up to anything is there a way to override that sensor?

First, it is a federal law that the converter be on the vehicle. Also, now that it is missing, the computer has no idea what is happening without info from the O2 sensors. As a result, it goes into a closed loop setting and runs the vehicle very rich. You need to get things back together on the vehicle.
