Have side/side/up/down front tire movenrent on 4wd

Before R&R tire had no movement. Lockout unit easily come off axle after removing tire. Is this normal? Replaced lockout seems to be flush with rotor but now have tire movement. What went wrong?

nothing if you did not touch anything else. the play was probably there when you started but never noticed it.

it sounds like you have bad ball joints. have it checked to confirm.
