I have a 1993 crown vic and it runs great but when I first crank it it doesnt want to idle. After its runs down the road it idles fine.

Taken to the parts store and have the codes checked. Then come back

Check the IAC valve (Idle Air Control). It is located on the back of the engine to the right of the throttle body. It is down just inside the back of the drivers sif=de valve cover. It is hard to get to without removing the wiper housing.
