Have you ever checked fuel pump pressure? Have there been times that it doesn't restart?

I have it said it had ok pressure even under a load.and no eventually it will start most times rite away.I also did a compression test and that was good.I've swapped the battery.I did however put the new alternator I had sitting around for my fir explore 5.0 but if there all 12 volt systems I don't think that's it but it could be.thanks for trying to help

The alt may not be putting out the same amps / volts. Double check to see if they are the same part.
