I have a 93 dodge dakota 4x4 with the 3.9 v6 in it&I'm wondering what suggestions and tech tips you'd might have for a transmission rebuild&how to get alittle more power out of the motor? It's a completely stock truck, the transmission is getting sluggish&I need a budget friendly way without buying a new one. Insight on reattaching the y pipe exhaust to the manifolds would also be appreciated

Get a manual to rebuild it and a long extension for the manifold bolts. Forget getting more power out of the engine it's aV6

I'm looking to know what kit specifically. You can't just go online&buy a stock transmission rebuild kit, I've looked. Can't even find what type of transmission it has online, yes it's an 4x4 automatic that bolts to the first gen dodge 3.9 v6 engine. "Dodge A727 Transmissi? On Rebuild Kit High Performanc?E Kit Stage 2 Red, Kolene TF8", prime example as to why I'm looking for insight here

On the pan rail of the trans, normally drivers side it shold be stamped 42rh or 46 rh that is what model it is. The you can get a high performance and or stock kit it shod have all the seals/clutches and steel plates in it. It may have a few different springs which will tell you in the kit what each one will do if you choose to replace those. Rock auto has this part number as one of many PIONEER Part # 752061 it h as all the steel rings, rubber/paper and friction plates you 'll need. Your trans may also have code 500 on it but all numbers shold be onpan rail. If not go to your local trans shop and ask they will let you know.
