What causes the hard to start and when put in gear it tries to die

Car is hard to start and when it is put in gear it starts to die, idles fine, when the gas pedal is pushed it starts to stall also, thought it was catalatic converter, dropped the cat and it still does the same thing, throttle postion sensor replaced. Can a bad EGR valve and bad O2 sensor cause this

Check your fuel pressure. Scan for codes. Fp shold be anywhere from 38-55 depending on engine size. Egr will normally not let cr idle if it's open.

3.3 V6, and what would need to be replaced if that is the case?

The fuel pump in the tank. Should be 48psi with vacuum hose disconnectd. Or 46 w/hose on and 55 w/hose off 1stspec is vin R second spec is vinT
