I have a 1993 buick regal 130.000 miles. My cooling fans will not kick on even when I put air cond on. The engine is a 3800 very good motor.I have changed relays check conectionts. What else can I do to fix this problem? Is there a breaker or fuse that I am missing?

In the fuse box under the hood check the following fuses:

BAT (3A)
BAT (30A) [1 of 2]
BAT (30A) [2 of 2]
IGN (10A)

Let me know it they check out OK. I have other tests/checks that will help trace down the problem if its not a blown fuse.

I checked all the fuses 30a.30a.3a.10a. They are all good. Now what do you think I should try. Also the air cond don't turn the fans on also. Any ideas?

Your computer stores trouble codes to aid in diagnosing problems Please have your computer codes read and post them here so that I can get the proper diagnostic chart info for you.

Meanwhile, check the Electronic Coolant Temperature Sensor (located at top rear of engine near thermostat housing). Disconnect the wire connect at the sensor and, with the ignition switch ON, use a paper clip to jump the "A" and "B" terminals of the wire connector. The fans should come on. If so, replace the sensor.

Hi
I checked that sensor with the paper clip and it did not turn on. What temp should the fan kick on when the eng is hot. My eng has never got over 180 f. Maybe the eng has never got hot enough for it to turn on.
Tks Jeff
