How to replace a belt tensioner on a buick century 1993.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Drain cooling system.
2. Serpentine belt.
3. Rear power steering pump pencil bracket.
4. Heater hose pipe and 0-ring from coolant pump.
5. Power steering pump retaining bolts and position aside.
6. Generator retaining bolts at tensioner.
7. Ground wire, from tensioner mounting bolt.
8. Tensioner mounting bolts and tensioner.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Tensioner and tensioner mount bolts.

TIGHTEN

* Bolts to 45 Nm (33 lb. ft.).

2. Ground wire to tensioner mounting bolt.
3. Generator retaining bolt at tensioner.
4. Power steering pump and retaining bolts.

TIGHTEN

* Bolts to 29 Nm (21 lb. ft.).

5. Heater pipe and 0-ring to coolant pump.
6. Rear power steering pump pencil bracket.
7. Serpentine belt.
8. Fill cooling system.
