I am trying to change the brake light switch on a '93 BMW 318is and I have an idea of where it is located, but I can't move the plastic panel from underneath the steering wheel because of the "chime" or "gong" (at least that what they referred to it as on some video.) Anyways, how do I remove it? Heres a picture of it.

Pinch the ends together and the electrical connectors can be removed.

Im actually a girl. Another question though. There's electrical connectors attached to the brake switch and even when I pinch the ends together, it wont budge. How do you remove it safely?
