Chysler says internal, mechanic says it is in the computer. Not getting any amps back in my battery---battery will take good charge on charger and is only 6 months old. The wire coming out of the alt right at the back of it shows that it is charging but the wire a little ways from the alt has no amps going through it.

I get different answers from different people. Chrysler parts man says that it has an internal voltage regulator but a local mechanic says that the regulator is in the computer, or could there be a broken line problem. Testing it before it gets to the fuseable link.

The regulator is indeed in the computer and gives extremely little trouble. Start by measuring the voltage at the large wire bolted to the back of the alternator with the engine not running, then holler back.
