1992 Lexus ls400 loose power as I am driving?Is it the pick up coil?

Car starts rough. It handles rough & only allow you to drive 40mph. It won't go in reverse.

Sounds like you have a transmission issue. It may not be shifting allowing you to pick up speed. The motor is most likely racing.
The no reverse is a big clue.

You need a trans shop to verify and give you a bid.

No, there is no pick up coil in your car. It is too new for that.
