I was wondering is it possible to put a 2010 honda muffler on a 1992 civic hatchback?

You can but the hangers will be in the wrong place. So you will have to modify it to hang the muffler correctly. It is much easier and will end up being cheaper to get a muffler through www.carrepairlinks.com which offers discounts from several reputable parts dealers. You will be able to find a good price and get a discount on most things there.
