Hi there my 92 accord over-heats, the thermostat I'm going to change, but I know one thing that the fan does not come on until I switch on the air conditioning. Do you think the thermostat could be preventing the engine cooling fan from running?
Should I also change the ECT? But I've heard that there is more than one temp sensor on this car, if so which one do i change?

Thanks, fixitmr, can you just please also clarify where exactly the fan switch is located/looks like etc? Also what should I look for in the cooling fan relay?

Thanks, really much appreciated.

i think it's on the thermostat housing. here's a test. pull plug and insert paper clip made u shape into plug connections.thereby shorting them together turnn key on/start car, fan should come on. if it does, you got a bad switch. if it dont, you have to diagnos further. in fuse box, pull relay and check holes for power. you may have to have key on. usually the power leg is 1 of the larger prongs.
