Ford Ranger Timing belt Problem

How do you set valve timming 2.3 engine

REMOVAL

Open and secure hood.
Install protective fender covers.
Loosen alternator assembly and remove bolts.
Drain cooling system.
Disconnect upper radiator hose and position aside.
Remove water pump pulley.
Remove crankshaft pulley.
Remove timing belt outer cover retaining bolt and cover.
Loosen belt tensioner pulley assembly.
Remove timing belt.

INSTALLATION

Timing Belt And Components

Install new timing belt.

Timing Pointer Locations

Spring And Adjustment Bolt

Release timing belt tensioner pulley.
Set camshaft timing.
Install timing belt outer cover and retaining bolt.
Install water pump pulley.
Install crankshaft pulley.
Position the alternator. Adjust the alternator belt and tighten the bolts.
Connect upper radiator hose.
Refill cooling system.
Start engine and inspect for leaks.
Check ignition timing and adjust if necessary.
