Chrysler New Yorker Fuse Problem

What would case my gauges to temporarily go really erratic at times and normal at other times

Might be issue with ignition switch--wiring circuit or instrument cluster. When problem is ongoing, check voltage and ground at the instrument cluster connector. I haven't looked at your wiring yet, do you have a gage or instrument cluster fuse, check for voltage at the fuse, key on.

Just to add, intermittent issues can be hard to track. You have to test when problem is ongoing. There is fuse block in your glove box, 5 amp fuse is for instrument cluster and other, fuse circuit goes hot with the key on.

At the instrument cluster connector, the dark blue wire with white tracer is voltage, key on. Black wire is ground.
